Fanatical Voices
I'm blogging from the New Zealand Natural outlet at The Curve while waiting for my friend Kristin to decide where to meet her for dinner. Just something to share. I'm featured on my company's monthly newsletter. Check out my welcome note (already edited btw).

Say No To Lafite
We had a company subsidised lunch at Lafite at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. It was supposed to be fine dining and high class since it has won numerous awards and have excellent reviews about their food. Well, it was my first time there (since people like me can't afford these places often) and I got to say, IT WAS SO DISAPPOINTING! The food wasn't that great...the ambiance was just like any ordinary hotel terrace cafe (in fact...I've seen better ones...don't let the picture on link fool you!). And to top it off, their staff weren't really well trained due to a certain incident that happend. Ok, it's too long for me to bitch about it since my colleague already blogged about it, I shall leave it for you to read here.
Would I go back there again? Are you nuts?!! After all that...I don't think it's worth the money. It's not that I can't afford it....but seriously...RM25++ for a glass of fruit juice that is not even freshly squeezed? I think NOT!

Welcome Back Present
If you think going on a long vacation is fun...think again! In our office, we just started this "if you go for a vacation for more than a week, we will do something to your desk" policy. Our first victim was my colleague Terence who just sits next to me. You see, he went for a 3 week honeymoon in New Zealand, and he came back this morning to his horror....

A lot of people had a hand in it (including yours truly). There also a video of us doing it! So the next time someone in the office decides to go on a long break...they better think twice! (including me...shit!)

Bachelor Night Party
A friend is getting married so we threw him a bachelor night party in an undisclosed location.
It involves 10 guys, A LOT of alcohol, whip cream, M&Ms, raisins and a stripper.
Party lasted till 5AM, went for breakfast and I got home at 7AM.
There won't be any photos or more details because we all swore that whatever happened that night, stays within the group.
I shall leave it to your imagination on how the night went. =)

David Cook's Always Be My Baby
I know by now you all will probably be saying "Enough with Mariah Carey already!" but hey, TOO BAD...did I mention I am an avid fan? Anyway, "Always Be My Baby" from her "Daydream" album, has always been one of my favourite MC songs of all time. Well, simply because that song brings back certain memories that will always be dear to me, and I will feel happy each time I hear that song.
Having said that, when I heard it was Mariah Carey week on American Idol, I just have to watch it, even though I don't exactly follow AI. Obviously, one performance caught my attention. Yep, it's this song which was performed by David Cook. All I got to say is.....HOLY @&$#!!! It's really really good. It really does the song justice. I love it and I really do hope they record his version. I mean, not every guy can pull off a song which was done originally by a female singer...and what more if it's done by MC?.....AWESOME!
Watch the video and tell me what you think...

Mariah Carey

IT'S FINALLY HERE!! You have no idea how long I have waited for this album. I have been an avid fan of Mariah Carey since her first album so this review will obviously be bias toward her. I have all her CDs (all original mind you...some of my friends think I'm crazy!) and her latest offering, her 10th album, E=MC² already has a number 1 single "Touch My Body". The album name means "(E) Emancipation (=) equals (MC) Mariah Carey (²) to the second power". It is a play on Einstein's famous mass–energy equivalence formula and is the sequel to her 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi. If you think her last album is good, I personally think this one is better. She don't have as much collaborations as in her previous 3 albums, but it just goes to show, that she is still capable of making some good tunes on her own. There is also a track ("I'm That Chick") that samples Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall" disco remix. Watch out for her second single "Bye Bye" and my personal favourites "I Stay In Love" and "I'm That Chick" which won't surprise me if they reach #1 on the Billboard charts at some point.
Here are the track listings:
01. Migrate
02. Touch My Body
03. Cruise Control
04. I Stay In Love
05. Side Effects
06. I'm That Chick
07. Love Story
08. I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time
09. Last Kiss
10. Thanx 4 Nothin'
11. O.O.C.
12. For the Record
13. Bye Bye
14. I Wish You Well
Oh, if you get the Japan edition, it comes with 2 bonus tracks "Heat" and "4Real 4Real" which features Da Brat. Overall, I think this album is freakin' awesome! Packed with easy listening tunes as well as some tracks that could get you grooving to the beats (hey, I told you I will be bias). But seriously, if you like Emancipation of Mimi, you would definately like this one as well. Give it a try and don't just take my word for it.
My rating: 5/5
Sounds similar to: NO OTHER...she is the one and only! :)

Mutant Healing Powers
Heya loyal readers! As you can see, it's been awhile that this site has been last updated....and no...this time, I have a valid excuse...and for the first time..it's not work related!
Well, as some of you know, I was quite sick the past week. I was down with a mild fever starting Tuesday night...I felt better the next day, and I went on back to the office and lasted throughout. Wednesday night the fever became worse. Now...it's very rare that I fall sick (come to think of it, I can't even remember when I was the last time I took an MC and a day off from work), and I usually recover in a day or so (because I have mutant healing powers). But this time, my mutant healing powers failed me. I was trying to be a hero on Thursday morning and went to work with a mild fever, hoping that I will pass the day without feeling anything...but just about 2 hrs into the office....I finally couldn't take it anymore. I had to see the doctor and take the rest of the day off.
Now call me stubborn, but yes, I do not like to visit the doctors. Firstly, I think they are just letting you know the obvious symptoms and will tell you advice that you already know like "Drink more water...blah blah blah" and "Don't take fried this and that....blah blah blah.." Well DUH! Even my friends can tell me that right?...so why do I need to go pay loads of money for a person to tell me what I already know? Well Okay...he did have medicine, but for me, I always try not to rely on meds and train my body to resist anything foreign (hence my mutant healing powers) UNLESS I really cannot fight it anymore. Besides, I require an MC to be off officially from work anyways. Really no offense to my doctor friends but yeah, that what I think! :P
But even on my day off, I was monitoring work progress from my laptop at home! =.=
I was feeling a whole lot better on Friday. Although not fully recovered, I still went back to the office (I should really get an Employee of the Year Award). But seriously. I am a workaholic and a perfectionist by nature. I cannot leave things incomplete and undone or being done by others for me. It just makes me feel uncomfortable if things are not done the way I want. Yea, maybe sometimes I need to learn to let go...but hey..we'll see. I guess it's just something I need to work on.
I spent most of the weekend at home believe it or not? I didn't even stepped out of the house on Friday night and whole of Saturday as I wanted to rest and chill. Yes, there were temptations for alcohol and parties (you know who you people are!), but it's not a very good idea if you're on meds. So if I can't drink, I might as well just stay home. Gave me time to watch my downloaded stuff too.
Then come Sunday evening. After being in Never Never Land for 2 days, I was invited to attend a soft launch of an indoor golf centre by a client in BSC, Bangsar. Well the place is Malaysia's first indoor golf venue and it features 4 golfing simulation machines. It's a cool concept if you ask me. I mean, playing golf without the heat of the sun? (get it?...cool concept?? :P). Our company designed their website, wall murals and other collaterals for their store. Oh...did I mention they have a bar? Being a launch, there were free flow of beer, wine and food. So remember when I said I was on meds??.....SCREW THAT! I'M CURED! ....I wonder sometimes if alcohol is the source for my mutant healing powers! :P

Baldy

I was bored with my hair and wanted a drastic change. So after much tinkering, and in a bold move, I finally decided to shave my head to save on shampoo and hair wax. =P

Tell Me Where It Hurts
What is that sad look in your eyes
Why are you crying
Tell me now, tell me now
Tell me, why you're feelin' this way
I hate to see you so down, oh baby
Is it your heart Oh, that's breakin' all in pieces
Makin' you cry
Makin' you feel blue
Is there anything that I can do
Why don't you tell me where it hurts now, baby
And I'll do my best to make it better
Yes, I'll do my best to make those tears all go away
Just tell me where it hurts now, tell me
And I love you with a love so tender
Oh and if you let me stay I'll love all of the hurt away
Where are all those tears coming from
Why are they falling
Somebody, somebody, somebody left your heart in the cold
You just need somebody to hold on, baby
Give me a chance to put back all the pieces
Take your broken heart
Make it just like new
There's so many things that I can do
Why don't you tell me where it hurts now, baby
And I'll do my best to make it better
Yes, I'll do my best to make those tears all go away
Just tell me where it hurts now, tell me
And I love you with a love so tender
Oh and if you let me stay I'll love all of the hurt away
Oh I'm gonna take it all away, baby
Why are you crying
Tell me now, tell me now

Snapshots of Phi Phi Island
After my previous post, a lot of people asked: "Why so little pictures one ar?...I thought you go to some paradise island?....Show MORE pictures of the island lah!!" =.= *ish*
Actually, the pictures are up on both the links on the left panel, and at the very end of the post itself. I guess it will mean burning too much calories for some to just click on one extra link huh?...Either that or you just want to be spoon fed. Anyway, I'm not going to put up all (there are too many anyway). Here are just some snapshots of the island.

Does it make you wanna go there now?
Disclaimer: If you're wondering why aren't there pictures of people or myself in those pictures? Well, if you must know, I took a few shots of myself with the sceneries naked and I don't want to put it up as it might be too much to handle for some people. You will be deemed a fucking cheap bastard if you copy or take any of these photos to be your desktop wallpaper, screensaver or edit anything without my permission and may you shit razor blades for a week!
