Euphoria by MOS

Euphoria by MOS, is the new dance club to grace the KL party scene. The club is not officially open to public until next week, but I got VVIP invites to the event anyway. Oh, my cousin is also a resident DJ at Euphoria, so go support him ya! The night began with Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah the Chairman of Sunway Group launching the club then followed by some performances and later partying all the way. I must say, this place probably has one of the best sound systems I've ever heard of all the dance clubs I've ever been to. Not only that, the main dance floor vibrates to the bass and the main light stage moves up and down using hydraulics! How cool is that?!! Oh...one IMPORTANT thing all clubbers must know...It's a SMOKE FREE club! Meaning, there is a designated smoking room upstairs if you need to take a puff. But OMG!...the DSA (Designated Smoking Area) was so poorly ventilated, I think you can get instant cancer in there! There was a free flow of drinks throughout the night which was great. Overall, I think this place will be the new "in" place for the next few months...but it's ok...I won't want to go rush with the crowd now that I've already seen the place :P

Here are some snapshots for the night.

RedRibbon Days Launch

Last Thursday, I was at a launch for one my client's company website, RedRibbon Days. I never expected a website launch to be this grand as there were ministers, reporters from the newspapers, journalists and news crew from the local TV stations who were all there for the launch. The whole place were...well, pretty impressive having decorated the whole place with balloons, presents, and cupcakes. It was indeed an "experience" on its own. Here are some pictures I took with my phone's camera so do mind the quality.

The launch ended with us having drinks and socialising...naturally.

Newman 5th Anniversary

Right after work today, I went for Newman magazine's 5th Anniversary Party @ Bar Savanh Too. This party was some months in the making as I was already informed about it way way way before their invites and flyers went out thanks to one of the organizers who I know. The party was strictly by invitation only as there were free flow of alcohol (yay!). Needless to say, me and my friend took full advantage of the free flow. The party was full of celebrities among them, participants from Malaysian Dreamgirls as well as blogger Kenny Sia. Manage to meet a couple of friends who I have not seen in a long while as well. While the crowd was good, the overall event was errr....quite a let down. Even the goodie bags were crap!...I mean come on...I got a magazine (duh!), whole bunch of brochures, a pen, 1 condom*, a lip balm for men and 2 toothbrushes - one of them in PINK!

Anyway, these are some random shots I took. There isn't much to shout about except for the fresh cut ciggie counter which I thought was really cool.

Free flow of whiskey..

...and Guinness Stout

* noticed I mentioned they gave only 1 condom? Where got enough lah?....not even a box of 3s!...Cheapos! Times are bad...so much for promoting safe sex. Come to think of it...can we blame to government for over population then?

Euro 2008

Euro 2008 is here! Football fanatics (like me) once again will arrive to the office with eyebags and lack of sleep. I'm rooting for Portugal as I did in the previous World Cup. They're one of the favourites to win the tournament...but then again...it's always a toss-up between Germany and Italy isn't it?

In commemoration with Euro 2008, I did an interview for my company's blog. Click here to read my interview. Ok, I'm off to see Croatia vs. Austria now....

The Meeting, The Proposal & The Wedding

My weekends just seem to be so packed and precious that every weekend seems to just fly right by. Honestly, I didn't get enough rest this weekend which is why dread going back to the office today. Anyway, lots of things happend during the weekend...met someone new...got a proposal...and then a wedding ;)

The Meeting

Yes...I met someone new over the weekend! No no...it's not what you think...hahaha! Gotcha! But seriously...I was out drinking with Olivia and Byron on Saturday night and met a "long lost cousin", Regina. It was just so coincidental that the 3 of us sitting at the same table with same surnames but none of us are related to each other. When I met Regina, we clicked instantly. I guess it's because we have a lot of friends in common, and conversation topics from then on were never a bore.

The Proposal

I finally got a proposal for my kitchen layout. I got the contractor to sketch out what I wanted, then chose the materials and colors to go along with it. You see, I can't afford those really expensive kitchen systems, so I had to find the next best alternative which is to custom make my kitchen and the one of a kind bar. Of course if it's cheap, naturally the proposal is....well...cheap! This chinese speaking contractor, just sketched out the plans on a year planner and not even on an A4 sheet. No kidding! But I must say I trust him, as he seems honest to what I can and cannot do. Besides, he was recommended by a friend to which he was her contractor for her kitchen as well.

The "el-cheapo" kitchen + bar proposal....not bad right?

The Wedding

My high school classmate Vivienne, got married on Sunday at Cyberview Lodge & Spa Resort at Cyberjaya. It was a garden wedding and I must say, it was one of the best weddings I've ever attended. It's not because every other wedding is boring, but this wedding paid a lot of attention to details, like decorations, lights, and even the theme. It was themed in such that before the dinner, you would have to register upon entering the dinner hall to which you would be given a "boarding pass" of your destination. Each table is named after a destination, and you get to stamp (like those found on your passport with different shapes) and give your well wishes on a large piece of paper on the counter. Each "destination" represents a different country or city that the couple visited during their courtship and each table have photo booklet and story taken from those destinations. There were at least 40 tables, so you can imagine how many countries/cities she have been to...afterall, she was a former air hostess with Singapore Airlines. Here are some shots taken from the wedding.
