If Only...

If only I had the cash to start...you know how much will I be earning by now? Well, I'm talking about my latest encounter with bursapursuit.com. I've been so into it lately, that it's more distracting that Facebook! So what is this bursapursuit all about? Well, basically it's the stock market, where you buy and sell shares and even trade. It's a virtual environment that runs based on the actual performance of the days stock market events. And yeah, they give you a starting capital of RM250,000 for you to start off. It's a good learning experience I would say and I would strongly recommend those who wants to know how to do it.

They have like a league system and you might even win a weekly prize if you're one of the high winners of the week or something. Their grand prize? RM10,000. Not bad right for just playing around with nothing to lose? So far, I have been gaining about approximately RM500+ per day and till today, made RM2,292.75 and this is in a space of errr...3 days? Which makes you wonder what will happend if I really did have the capital to play for real right? Well tempting as it may be, always remember, it's still the stock market. What ever goes up, is bound to come down sooner or later, and it's extremely high risk. I guess you need to know when to buy and sell your stocks in hand. Like I said, I'm no pro, I'm still learning, but I do know a few things on how to buy and sell. I definately would like to invest in the real thing one day if I have the capital.

Showing Off Time =p

Well, like I said, I will post pictures (and bore you) taken from my new camera just to show you all how good my baby is (hey, give me some chance for bragging rights lah! :p). This was taken while I was having dinner with Calyn earlier this evening.

Pictures below were taken at lowly lit conditions. Neither pictures were not "Photoshoped" to adjust brightness nor color. The only thing done was resizing for obvious reasons.

This was taken using strobe flash mode...and yet it's not over exposed

Calyn & I - Noticed the natural lighting? Again using strobe flash mode.

Ok, I think I shall end it here, if not later you people will start boy cotting my blog.

Quick Update: 25 October

There seems to be so much going on this week, and I don't think I have the time to write each event as a new entry. So I shall just summarize it here.

Actual Stupidity:
I actually saw this one guy at an optical shop the other day who was there to change the lens of his glasses. Why? Because the dumb ass stuck a screen protector on both his lens and now he needs to get them out! I was holding back my laughter when I heard what he wanted to do. I mean a screen protector on a pair of glasses?? WTF??!!

My New Love:
YAY! I finally bought the camera. I was playing it yesterday when I got it and there is only one word to describe it.....AWESOME! OMG! The night shots I took were so clear and it looks so natural even with the flash on! I got to say, at first I felt guilty for buying it, but after using it....NO REGRETS what so ever. Well, I will post up some pictures taken using my new camera later on, so look out for it.

Current Hooks:
I've been trying out Bursa Pursuit which is an online site for people who wants to get a taste of how to trade in the stock market. I got to say, it's quite interesting, although I am a newbie when it come to trading and investing in this area. Nevertheless, it's a good way to learn. Who knows I might even win something out of it!

Upcoming Weekend Events:
This weekend seems to be packed. Hey, I'm not bragging that I'm happening or anything but you know how sometimes everything just seem to happen on the same weekend? Yea, so this weekend things that I'm looking forward to are:

1. Oktoberfest
RM1 for a mug of beer? Yeah, you can bet me and my friends will be there.

2. Ee Laine's Birthday
Not sure where the birthday girl wants to go, but all she hinted was she wanted to get super wasted (I wonder why)..so will be in for a not so sober night.

3. Time to Pay Saman (Elaine's Wedding)
Yup, my high school classmate is finally getting married. Congrats Elaine!

4. Reban's Night Out?
I'm not sure if this will actually take place, but May Lynn says Suzanne wanted to go somewhere and get everyone together. But nothing confirmed as yet.

So there! All the updates for now. Check back soon for errr...more updates and of course photos! :)

Dawn's Birthday @ BBC KL

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN! Here are some photos taken from Dawn's birthday party at BBC KL last Friday. I didn't manage to post it up earlier as Dawn held the photos hostage until late last night. I guess she was filtering some photos because I remember her taking some shots which were not passed to me....tsk tsk...Dawn, I know you're reading this...I really hope you had a great time because I did. Cheers!!

Decisions

Here is the thing...in my previous post I said I wanted to get those limited edition Woven Airscapes. NOWWWW....I saw something else that I wanted. A new digital camera! The FinePix F50fd . Just look at the features and the review on PC Magazine and you will know what I mean. So how now?? Well honestly, I think it's a better (or a wiser) decision to be investing on a digital camera rather than a pair of over priced sneakers. But.....that would mean I have to sell my old one! So who wants to buy my old Fuji FinePix F455, do let me know. It's in extremely good condition for a camera that is slightly over 2 years. Not even a scratch - it looks like it came straight out of the box...honest!

Well what attracted me to the Fuji camera was because it comes with high ISO capability (ISO 6400) and has a night auto-focus PIM. In layman terms, it takes very good night shots. It also comes with the standard anti-shake function. Also, it's the first camera that takes both xD and SD memory cards, so I can have an option (finally!).

So how?
OR

Well, those who wants my old camera, I'm willing to sell it for around RM 400 (still negotiable though) which comes with an extra battery and extra xD picture cards. But then, I think I will most likely get the camera...wait...sneakers.....no wait...camera....arrrggghhh!!!

I'm a Sneakerhead!

"Hi! My name is Nick and I'm a sneakerhead".

I finally found a new hobby (well not very new actually, it just didn't really took off a few years ago), a VERY expensive hobby too, collecting limited edition sneakers and shoes! Well, some people or in fact most people think it's crazy and a total waste of money, but the truth is....I CAN'T HELP MYSELF! It all started when I bought a pair of rare Adidas Superstar sneakers when I was in Hong Kong, about 2 years ago. Ever since then, I've been buying several sneakers (some limited editions), whenever I can. Most of them are bought from overseas as they are relatively hard (sometimes impossible) to get here. I don't know, I just got a "thing" for these sneakers. Maybe it's the colors, the designs, but whatever it is, I'm drawn to it. These limited edition sneakers can range from RM400 ++ way up to RM1,500 per pair. Insane? Totally! And as some of you know, I recently purchase a pair of limited edition Puma Miharas during my recent trip to Bangkok.

My pair of limited edition Miharas

I was walking at The Gardens the other day, when I then came across this shop called SoleWhat? which is one of the very few places that sell limited edition shoes in KL. Holy crap! My eyes lit up when I went in. Not because of the interior deco of the shop, but rather the collection of limited edition shoes that they have! They even carry the Onitsuka Tiger brand which I think is the first shop in Malaysia to sell this brand (but I might be wrong here).

Then suddenly from a distance, I could hear a pair calling out my name... As I turned and looked, I saw these beautiful pair of limited edition Nike Woven Air Footscapes! It was love at first sight I tell you. These pair are so rare, that they only have 2 pairs of each color available in Malaysia! Immediately I asked to try on a pair, and they fit PERFECTLY! It was so comfortable, that for a moment, I actually was thinking to make a run for it after putting both sides on! Haha...well, only problem is...it's freaking RM750 bucks!

Love at first sight! The Hideout x Nike Woven Air Footscape

The one I saw was in black and red stripe, with a transparent "gel" sole. Siigghh! Now there is a huge temptation for me to get one, and I've been contemplating whether to get it or not for a few days already. Only thing is, I just got a pair of Pumas and I think I need a bit of time to recuperate. If I were to get it, it will mean I have to sacrifice my other spendings, but if I don't, I might not be able to see or get them ever again! (did I mention there are only 2 pairs in Malaysia?) Arrrgghh! Decisions decisions. Help! Maybe you can start a donation drive to help raise funds for me to get that pair? Hahah...we shall see if it's fated for me to get it or not then.
